Robert J. Scanzio, age 57, passed away in the Rhode Island Hospital, after a motorcycle accident, on Saturday, November 25, 2017. Born in Norwood, Massachusetts on June 27, 1960, he was the son of Henry J. and Agnes M. (Hayes) Scanzio. He was raised in Walpole, and from a young age, had a love for motorcycles. His passion started on a dirt bike, riding around his yard, along the high lines and the train tracks. Bob later moved on to riding motocross and began riding at Southwick and Marlboro. In addition, Bob had a love for the water, he could frequently be found on a boat, fishing, or scuba diving in the ocean. His love for the ocean was so great, that he was a part time resident of Onset Beach. He graduated from Walpole High School with the Class of 1978 and continued his education at the University of Massachusetts at Boston, graduating in 1983.

Bob spent many years working in the automotive industry. He began his career working with his Dad at the Boch Used Car Lot in Norwood and later began working at Boch Mitsubishi. Bob went on to become the district manager for the Honda Motor Company overseeing the New England Area. After 15 years with Honda, Bob took a position with Primus, the Ford Motor Company financial company. He left Primus, to take a job with G.E. Capital, where he was responsible for the leases of tractor trailers for half of the United States. Bob's career shifted into motorcycles when he took a job with Harley Davidson Financial, working as the district manager of finance and insurance.

In his younger years, Bob was an avid hunter, as he grew older, he joined a local shooting club near his hometown of Danielson, Connecticut. He enjoyed spear fishing in Rhode Island and loved taking trips on his Harley Davidson Motorcycle. His social calendar was always full, as his funny side usually made him the life of all the parties. He enjoyed his quiet time too, spending time cooking in his kitchen or reading a good book.
